Amsterdam, Sunday 11 May - Mother's Day at the Tropenmuseum

At this day the Tropenmuseum organizes an African Hat Show.
The hats on display are inspired by Africa and made by Dutch hat designers. Direction and production of the show by Lenny Moeskops and Thea Karstkarel.

The Dutch Hats Association held a design competition in 2007, with the theme "Africa", and these hats were exhibited from 11 November 2007 till 15 January 2008 in the Afrikamuseum in Berg en Dal. They are now on show on 11 May in the Tropenmuseum from 2 PM.

There are also workshops for knotting shawls with Hajara and a workshop "making hats" for children.
